Emotive, Exciting and Exhilerating5
Thats how I would describe this soundtrack.

I bought it expecting the usual soundtrack but was suprised. Track One is the full version and has characters speaking over in places to add to the effect. This is similiarly in nearly all of the tracks.

My CD arrived promptly and that night I sat with a good book, glass of whiskey and had this on in the background. It added the perfect atmosphere. The music is very thought provoking as well, you remember all those scenes from Spooks with these included. Some are very familiar such as Boyz with Toyz and others not so familiar but equally as good.

I now use this music to work to in the office! An excellent buy whether you are a Spooks fan or not.

Smart, intelligent but kinda short.4
First off, I have to say that I really liked the music on the series so buying the cd seemed like a natural progression. When I looked at the track listings I was a bit confused by the song names besides the main Spooks theme but upon hearing you recognise the distinct pieces that are used over and again. An example of this is 'Spooks', the main theme and 'Boyz and Toyz', the theme used when the showed turned towards the gadgets. A small complaint is the length of the album being only 46 minutes in length although this is a common problem with any album of music from short run tv series with the exception perhaps of the '24' soundtrack or the Simpsons albums.

The tracks themselves are intercut with dialogue from the show which is a bit off putting at first although it does grow on you. The only time there will be a problem is when you put it on for someone and they randomly start quoting dialect from the series. Personally I would have prefered the music alone although when you listen to them you can't help but picturing the scene where you remember it from so you naturally start quoting dialogue anyway!

If your a fan of this spy show you will like this album. Unlike some I have heard such as the Buffy albums which do nothing to remind you of the show, this captures the spirit of the show. To this effect dont listen to this if your feeling depressive as it will really draw your spirits down.

A STATESIDE VIEW5
Your show, called "MI-5" here, is terrific, and I am hooked. So, since the soundtrack will probably never be released here, I had to get from the UK. It's great, and captures the mood of the series. It is James Bond music for the 21st Century. Way to go, Jenny.....hope series 3 is just as good!
