deranged4
Yeah, kind of a grim, deranged book this one. There's no doubting the quality of the writing, I think the Joker is fairly well pegged. The biggest problem is that he comes across as just a psychotic thug. In the Dark Knight, Nolan had the sense to write the Joker as making a point about humanity's relative worth (or lack of). Here he is just a nutter...Nice art though.

Don't be put off by the 'ugly' cover5
I'll keep this simple. First of all, it's NOT one for younger readers. The artwork is phenomenal! The script is great! It's the Joker at his psychotic best. The story is largly viewed from a henchman taken under the wing of Joker (somewhere i wouldn't want to be). If you're a fan of the Batman graphic novels, then this will become an instant favourite.

Disturbing portrayal of the best bad guy in the world5
Joker has just been released from Arkham Asylum, we do not no how, he goes straight back into trying to take back Gotham City which has slipped away from him. So... for those who don't know whether to buy this:

1) This portrayal of The Joker is sickening, its very much like Heath Ledger's Joker, however there is apparently no connection between the film and this book, just coincidence.

2)I'll try not to say too much, but there are some great inclusions of past characters.

3) The story is told throught the eyes of a Joker henchman who witnesses Jokers happenings.

Overall, a simple story, fairly gory, fantastic artwork. Im not going to be selling this one off in a hurry. RECOMMENDED!
