good short facts could be more detailed
This is a good book, its the second one that I have read on bonsai and explains in better detail the techniques and principles of the art. The book could be longer and more detailed but it is good for short quick refrences on what you need to know. It's nice clear diagrams and instructions are easy to follow, all in all its nice and simple.

I'm generally not very good around plants, but I impulse-bought a bonsai and then this book to go with it. I though the book was brilliant - it explains a lot of things in detail and has pictures and a lot of techniques to go with it. Unfortunately, my bonsai died so I haven't been able to practise some of the techniques. However, it was because I brought the book that I realised I'd been sold an awful bonsai (its trunk had been lopped off and three straggly 'branches' had been grafted onto it) and now I know what to look for next time I buy one. Definitely worth a buy.
