Not fit for purpose
I bought this to go with a work Dell Laptop supplied by the client with XP but with no CD/DVD drive. Unfortunately it failed to recognize the MyLink drive. I then tried it with my home Laptop, also XP, which did recognize it but came up immediately with a power surge error. I tried with my home PC (VISTA home) and this two did not recognize it. There are no real instructions on what to do now, so it has gone back.

Great external CD-RW DVD-ROM CDRW drive
This product came very quickly and was in superb condition. It is a good price for what it is and is doing exactly the job I wanted it for. Great seller and product alike, would highly recommend both.

i was very satisfied with this external cd/dvd drive for my notebook, and the plug and play facility made the task of adding to my equipment an element of hassle free time and effort you dont usually get when adding hardware to pcs. thoroughly recommend this product it does what it says on the can without costing the earth.
