Editorial Reviews

From the Author
We have made these posters in response to requests from families looking for an easy reference that can help baby-sitters and grandparents visiting the home of youngsters who sign. The KEEPSAKE is already proving popular with Baby Signing Classes and teachers wishing to record a child's progress. This contains identical colour images from the charts in thumnail format with spaces beneath to write the dates that each sign is first shown and produced. Communicating Tips and the Fingerspelling Alphabet are on the reverse.
Signs include ’bath’ ‘bed’ ‘milk’ ‘more’ ‘thank you’ ‘hurt’ and ‘cuddle’.
Suitable for the home, nursery, pre-school environments and reception and waiting areas of public buildings. Colourful and appealing to adults and children alike.

Customer Reviews

Stick these up immediately!4
These are a really useful addition to any books you may have for you and baby if you're into signing before they can speak.
We placed ours on the wall close to where she had meals and they served two purposes... one, it was a good aide memoir for me, and two, my daughter would point at the ones she wanted me to do/say. As she learnt to speak she would ask, "what's that boy saying?", "what's that girl signing?".
My only gripe is that more explanation could have been given about how to do each sign, but if you've got the basics, or the book that goes with these (Let's Sign Early Years: BSL Child and Carer Guide) it shouldn't present too much of a problem.
