Customer Reviews

Absolute poo5
Signing has really helped my twin daughters. They learned the theory and practice of communicating with their mother and manipulating Daddy long before they could talk. This book is a great dictionary that they love to read even now. The 'poo' sign always gets a laugh.

Clear and simple baby sign for you5
I have found baby sign to be fantastic in that it helped my (hearing) son not to become frustrated by his developing language skills. Signing back from 10 months and now nearly three, he is still using his hands to help to describe things when he doesn't know the words. These books are great for building a simple sign language vocabulary alongside your child. They are logically and clearly laid out and they explain each sign with simple, fun illustrations. The one downside is that some are based on BSL (British Sign Language) and some on ASL (American Sign Language). Okay if you just want to communicate with your child before they can talk but confusing if you and your child need to be able to communicate with the wider signing community.

Toddler Signing5
I believe it is important to teach toddlers how to sign when they are still trying to learn to talk. This helps to ward off frustrations in communication for them as well as for their carers! All of this set of Sign About books is well done.
