Manufacturer's Description
Installation
Under most operating systems the Datawrite USB Voyager is plug_and_play. This means inserting the drive connection the relevant way round into a USB port and waiting on the operating system to recognise it. Windows usually has an auto menu function that comes up and gives you options such as open the drive folder or view multimedia files held on the drive. One of the options can be selected by clicking on it or you can cancel this menu and use the drive in the same manner as you would a hard disk or floppy disk.
Saving Files
In order to save files to USB flash storage devices. Click on File | Save As from the top menu. A box will appear. Click on the menu box to the right of Save In and from the drop down menu select Removable Disk. Then give your File a name as you would normally and click the Save button.
Opening Files
Opening files from USB flash storage devices is done in a similar way to saving. Click on File | Open from the top menu. A box will appear. Click on the menu box to the right of Look In and from the drop down menu select Removable Disk. Then click on the file you wish to open and finally click on the Open button.
Deleting Files
Deleting files from USB storage devices works in the same way as deleting from floppy discs or hard disks. Firstly Click on the Start Menu | All Programs | Accessories. Then select Windows Explorer. When the box pops up click on the my computer label on the left hand side. A list of your drives will appear below my computer please click on Removable Disk. Now the contents of the Removable Disk will appear on the right hand side of the box. Select the file(s) or folder(s) you wish to delete by clicking the right mouse button while the pointer is over it and selecting delete from the menu.
