1993: DM's exciting refusal to rest on their laurels post-'Violator', adding rock and gospel to the mix. 'Walking In My Shoes' is a lush epic whilst 'Higher Love' perfects the DM style.

2009: Bewildering at first, rich and rewarding with familiarity. Defiantly electronic and eclectic in sound with moments of soaring uplift, unusual for DM.

1998: 21 outstanding tracks. That's about all there is to it.

1997: Surprisingly satisfying album. Plays like the musical combination of 'Violator' and 'Songs of Faith and Devotion'. Standout tracks: 'Home' (epic and intimate), 'It's No Good' (what DM do best).

1984: Made when DM were becoming a critical joke, this album surprises with it's unique and unprecedented mix of rhythm, industrial sounds and brave subject matter. Highlight? 'Lie To Me'.

2004: DM remixes: better when they resemble the originals. This is a mostly fine collection, though some mixes are present more for the remixer's name than the quality of the mix (Underworld).

1982: Not a consistent, satisfying album as a whole but the good, solid stuff ('Leave In Silence', 'The Sun & The Rainfall', 'Nothing To Fear') outweighs the duff.

2001: A collection of probably great songs marred by experimental, minimalist electro production that downplays what DM do best: melody, rhythm and atmosphere. 'I Am You', however, is still a belter.

1993: A bit inessential really, though the live version of 'Walking In My Shoes' makes it worth it
