LEGO and Star Wars... what more could you want?
When i was a 6+ child of the 80s, all i wanted to be when i grew up was Luke Skywalker. I had all the star wars toys, the figures, the ships etc and loved to play with them... but LEGO competed equally for my pocket money and so i never really had a complete set of either - i never had Yoda, i didnt have a fire station...
So, imagine my sheer delight when LEGO and STAR WARS teamed up and started making the models. I wish they had done this years ago... but then...
LEGO STAR WARS for the Mac!! YES... finally i get to feel the force and be a Jedi too with my gang of droids and rebel friends.
This game is awesome on my mac (mini) and there's no problems with it coping with the incredible graphics and the perfect skywalker sounds.
If you've ever loved either LEGO or STAR WARS get this game, it's fast, funny and if you like both... it's the perfect game.
Lego Star Wars - excellent game but expectations not met
Star Wars, Lego and a Mac - what a combination! After a less than promising start when Amazon's recommended games controllers proved to incompatible with Macs, we finally got the game up and running following an expensive trip to Argos for some Mac compatible controllers. Initially things went well, lots of enjoyment all round then gradually the problems set in. First the game would start freezing, then the controllers wouldn't keep their settings, finally we lost the ability to play the game in two player mode. The games producers Aspyr were less than helpful and couldn't offer any explanation to what was going wrong. In the end we bought a PS2 from the local car boot and the game off eBay and we've not looked back since! Don't get me wrong, this is a superb game but from our experience, the stability of the Mac version is questionable.
