So close to 5 stars
I got these as a present in December 2007 to replace the earphones that came with my ipod (which as everyone knows are very useful if you run out white string, but are not very good for listening to music). Initially I could not fault the headphones. They totally changed my ipod experience and I would have had no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, a mere 7 months into my ownership, my ipod experience changed again as the sound on both channels slowly dropped to about 25% of the original volume.

In brief, they are great headphones, but the build quality doesn't match the sound quality.

First of all, ignore the 1 star reviews. People find 1 thing wrong then judge everything on that.
Got these this morning and the sound quality is phenominal, no rattle, great bass and crisp clear sound. The noise isolation also works very well. The headphones also fit in my ears very well dispite the shape. There are also 3 interchangeable ear plugs to get the best fit.

One problem - Im not a fan of headphones where the left wire is shorter to let the right headphone loop under your chin, but that's just me. Im sure i'll get use to it though, but not a neccessary feature sennheiser!

Also, it says eco packaging but here was so many cardboard layers here for presentation they could have made at least 6 boxes for headphones. They are only headphones sennheiser! They can go safely in a small box. Recycle and use less!

Avoid this - horrible quality
Don't buy these earbuds if you don't want to lose your money. They are like the cheapest set of headphones you could ever buy - poor sound quality, zero bass, asymmetric wires.
By the way - who invented the "eco-friendly" packaging should resign right now - the most idiotic system I've ever seen.
I tend to believe they are counterfeits - I refuse to believe Senheiser can do something like this.
