Customer Reviews
DC500 Kinda Sucks
On paper the DC500 is very appealing, a cordless wet/dry vac every plumbers dream. Once I turned it on however the first thing that hits you is the obvious lack of suction, even when working it off the mains. Surprisingly though it does an excellent job of picking up anything. This is an excellent tool for tiding up after drilling holes in walls, floors etc especially as it is battery powered. However there is a downside, the waterproof cover on the filter does not last any time at all, and once it has deteriorated getting the filter wet is a disaster, as the vacuum losses all suction until you get the filter bone dry, and I mean bone dry. For a plumber this is not a good thing. If you plan to use this solely for dry pick up then buy it, it's a great piece of kit. But as a wet and dry vac it's a real let down.
