The Audio - A 25th Anniversary Celebration
Imagine, "Hope" the book, has passed the 2 million copy mark and is still going strong! I am so grateful for all the folks who have made this happen. Thanks especially for the incredible reviews I discover on this site when I visit. To celebrate our 25th Anniversary, Stripe, Yellow and I decided that an Audio version was the best thing we could offer our faithful friends and a new "Hope" generation. The new audio has exquisite musical illustrations which take the place of the drawings you can't see, and I read the story. On side two I tell how Hope came to be written. This is a first for me as narrator, producer and revealer of personal values in public. I hope folks will enjoy it.
Inspired by Amazon, I am building my own site, hopefortheflowers.com, I want it to be an oasis of hope on the world wide web where we can learn together about positive happenings and things to do, like composting and permaculture. Visit as it grows.

Still relevant after 26 years
My dad bought this book for us, his 4 sons, when it first came out in '73. I was 8 years old at the time and enjoyed the pictures and the story of the caterpillar-pillars. I remembered it one day while browsing in a book store some 15 years later and was pleased that it was still available. This book ranks right up there with Jonathan Livingston Seagull as far as good, concise stories that will help you step back and see the big picture. Everyone needs this sometime since we are all part of those struggling pillars, trying to get to the top.
Very good.
An interesting, and very short read. It evokes a very familiar feeling. Maybe that's because the message it carries has been echoed a thousand times since in different books and words, but it does it in a unique and pleasant way. It will only take an hour of your time up, but it is worth every minute. Recommended.

This is the best book that I have read about searching your soul and purpose in life. I wish I could give a copy to everyone. I am sending a copy to friend, who is currently in the peace core.
