If you’re new to digital photography, you want controls that are simple to use and menus that make it easy to find the right selection. So the S930 has a large 2.4" LCD screen with clear icons and menus to make taking great photos as effortless as possible. The 10.1 effective megapixel resolution means you get finer detail in the image and can zoom in without losing clarity. What’s more, in Easy mode the camera simplifies shooting by limiting the number of camera settings and displaying straightforward instructions.

The sensor recognises faces as faces and automatically adjusts the exposure, white balance and flash settings to show skin tones at their best. Up to 8 faces can be recognised in any scene.

SteadyShot to reduce picture blur
If you are shooting with the camera in your hand, there is always a danger of handshake spoiling your picture, even if your subject is stationary. To avoid this problem, the S930 takes two shots at the same time at high shutter speed and combines them for one bright, blur free image — all you have to do is press the shutter once.

The high sensitivity sensor enables great pictures in low light
The S930’s sensor is measured at ISO 3200 so is highly sensitive to light and can automatically provides clear images in low light conditions, such as indoors or at twilight. On top of that, there are seven pre–set options for you to quickly choose the best settings for a particular type of scene.

bargin at the price
having had a sony camera for years and now having a more expensive main camera we found we needed a cheaper camera for those day to day events.
having got it going which took minutes this camera as all sony cameras delivers some exceptional photos and video for a bargin price. a super buy and worth every penny and taking less than 60 seconds to get it working just what is needed.

Great little camera
Sony CyberShot S930 Digital Camera - Silver (10.1 MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.4" LCD

Lovely camera - very easy to use - especially since I have a VAIO laptop, so the memory card fits into the slot on the laptop. The images are very clear and a great colour.

Don't forget to buy a memory card too.

One minor niggle - no viewfinder so taking photographs in strong sunlight can be difficult.

Excellent piece of kit, great value
Bought this camera for my trip to Benicassim, a music festival in Spain. Fantastic picture quality and extremely simple to use, and to the high standard that you expect from anything made by Sony. Great pocket size too, although I would recommend getting a case for this as the screen could be quite easily scratched without protection. There is a wide variety of options for your shots, and the picture quality is a pretty high standard for the price.

A minor niggle is that there is no speaker, so if you do take a video you can't hear the sound until you plug it into your computer when you get home. Having said that this is a camera and not a VIDEO camera, so this is a minor issue.

All in all, great value and I definitely recommend this camera for anyone looking for a reasonably affordable, easy to use piece of kit.
