Manufacturer's Description

The D92 digital frame from Sony makes a stunning addition to any room. Its sleek design and high–resolution 9" LCD screen will set off your photo collection to perfection. A 1GB internal memory gives you the opportunity to save up to 2,000 images in the frame, so there’s no need to limit yourself to a few favourites. Choose the slideshow viewing option, and take a tour through all those precious memories. A multi–card slot makes it quick and easy to move images from your camera to the frame, and Bluetooth compatibility provides the option of wireless transfer. The D92 is packed with technology to make your life that bit easier. Smart search functions and a remote control bring an element of convenience, helping you effortlessly navigate your way through your photos. While calendar and clock display options mean the D92 is handy too. You can even set an alarm and wake up to a photo of a loved one, or treasured memory.

Bringing your pictures to life
The 9" Wide VGA LCD panel has been designed to show your pictures at their best. Clear Photo technology delivers the high resolution, increased contrasts and vivid colours that make images appear clearer and more lifelike than ever. Auto orientation then ensures you enjoy your photos as intended, recognising whether they’re portrait or landscape and flipping them accordingly.

A choice of displays
You choose how you view your pictures. Go for a single image, or select slideshow and take a leisurely journey through your photos. If you’d like to see more than one image at a time, choose scrapbook and it’ll create a montage of your favourites. With its clock and calendar views, the D92 is much more than a photo frame. There’s a huge range of displays to choose from, so you can match the style to your surroundings. Put the D92 on your bedside table, set the alarm clock, and you can wake up to your favourite photo. The timer also means you can program the D92 to switch off when you want it to and save energy, while an auto–dimmer reduces screen brightness on darker days, saving power and delivering a more comfortable display. And for those days when you’re busy at work or just relaxing, the handy remote control lets you change display settings and other functions without having to leave your chair.

Easy transfers and quick searches
Transferring your photos is easy, thanks to a multi–card slot that accepts Memory Stick, SD Card, CompactFlash and xD media. Just remove the memory card from your digital camera, pop it into the frame, turn on the power and enjoy. There’s no waiting around for images to load. The D92 is also Bluetooth compatible, with an optional USB adaptor which lets you transfer images wirelessly. A 1GB internal memory means you can store up to 2,000 images, saved at 2 megapixel resolution. Sifting through those images is made simple by the smart search functions. You can browse your photo collection by folders or special events, like a wedding or a holiday, and find the right picture in moments.

    Excellent product5
I purchased a Sony photoframe for my parents last Xmas. We liked it a lot and finally got round to buying one ourselves. Set up out of the box is simple. Some shortcomings mentioned by reviewers of previous versions seem to have been sorted out. For example, you can, on this model, sort through various folders to select a subset of photographs to view - useful, as the internal memory can hold upwards of a 1000 pics. We don't use the internal memory though. Buy a USB memory stick for about £10, copy the photographs you want to view onto that, and then insert it in the USB slot at the back of the frame. You cannot see the memory stick from the front once it's in.

Excellent product - highly recommended. It does need to be plugged in to a mains socket. This does restrict its location and means, for example, that you cannot pass it around friends for them to oooh and aaah at your snaps.

    Sony Digital Frame5
Fantastic quality. Far better colours & clarity then some others on market. Very simple to use even for someone like me who wants to just plug in & use & doesn't like reading instructions!

    lacks HDMI otput4
Overall a reasonable product. However loses a star due to the lack of a HDMI output to view pictures on a HD ready TV (which some of the Sony digital photo frames have).
