Customer Reviews

Surprisingly good5
The 1 star rating from R Bell should be ignored in fact I would give it 5+ stars if it was available. This TV is my first venture into LCD and is beyond my expectations, in fact I was watching an HD transmission on a Samsung LCD and could not see any improvement over the Sony.

Clarity, colours, ease of use, setup, and no delay between turn on and use of remote control, in fact it found my Sony PVR and I can programme recording sessions while the PVR is turned off.

Screen size is just right for a living room, unless you live in a mansion, and the overall size is not in any way intrusive.

Amazon and City Link managed to deliver to me within 41 hours, from time of order 10.00 pm on Tuesday night to time of delivery 3.00 pm on Thursday and I did not choose next day delivery - by the way I live in N. Ireland about 25 miles west of Belfast - so they deserve a few stars as well.

GREAT SERVICE GREAT TV!5
I have to give this 5 stars because there is nothing that I can mark it down on. The TV is very good! Lots of my friends have large LCD and Plasma TVs that are much, much more expensive than this and I can confidently say this TV's picture and sound is just as good, if not better.

The specs say it does not do 1080p, but unltimately when are you going to notice the differnce between 1080p and 1080i, which is does do. Maybe in a decade or so, when all the channels start to be transmitted in 1080p.

With regards to the Amazon service, brilliant!

Brilliant5
I did not buy this TV from Amazon, but thought I would share thoughts with anybody looking for a TV and maybe save people some time. There are no reviews on the internet for this particular size, trust me I have looked. "What HiFi" (sound and vision magazine) did not even know the 37" was released in the UK.
Anyway, TV easy to setup and functions are simple to get the hang of. Up and running in 5 minutes.

Picture: Excellent- Only watching through freeview and dvd. Handles motion pretty well but some TV channels are a tiny bit blurred, while others are brilliant. This is down to signal and rubbish Scart cable and not the TV. DVD's quality is excellent.

Sound: Excellent- Sound very clear and there is no distortion if you crank it up.

Looks: Very good and somewhat classic (mine grey model). If you want something flash then maybe not for you. Overall, looks very vey good and very good build quality.

Final thoughts: I bought this TV because the 32" model was given five stars in What HIFI, and every other Sony they reviewed also got 5 stars. So I decided to take a chance esp with the price level. I have not been disappointed and am happy with every aspect of this TV. Previous people mentioned about delay if turning on from stand by...? This does not happen to mine. I would suggest that you spend an extra £20-£30 on a DECENT Scart cable or even better HDMI.

This is an excellent TV and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a new Plasma/LCD.
