Addictive Survival Fun!5
For those of you new to Lost in Blue, the basic game setup is as follows: you play as a girl or boy character (your choice) who's shipwrecked on an island along with another passenger. The idea is for the two of you to survive day to day, whilst exploring the island and searching for an escape. Along the way you'll discover a couple of other characters and voila! before you know it a mysterious storyline unfolds.

Lost in Blue 3 is basically similar to the other 2 games in the series, but the more complex storyline (and ironed out glitches) makes it even more fun to play. Plus having several 'bases' dotted around the island makes it easier to explore, as you don't have to keep going back to the same cave.

Visually the game looks fab and with lovely music to boot it makes play great fun. It's your choice whether you use the stylus or the button controls (I like a mix of both). Daily survival is an addictive process in itself: hunting for food, building tools, checking the shoreline for useful items, creating recipes from hell (mushrooms and oysters with seaweed and coconut are a staple meal in Lost in Blue!) and unlocking little gems such as the ability to create shell necklaces. You have total free rein to wander anywhere you choose, but beware of unexpected large animals or the odd typhoon. The more you discover the more sophisticated your existence - as soon as I worked this out I couldn't put it down.

This game is for you if: you like role playing, you enjoy creative games where you need to think for yourself and you like to play at your own pace.

If you like this I'd also recommend The Sims 2: Castaway (Nintendo DS). It's a bit of a Lost in Blue rip-off but huge fun and well worth buying.

Better than I thought it would be!3
Easy to negotiate the game world, which is very important to me. You can use both directional keys and pointer to move people around. I DOES get a bit repetitive - get food, get water, run around doing stuff, finding stuff, making stuff - but there are 4 characters you can play (after the first run-through), each bringing different viewpoints, aims and skills to the game, although the basic story and action are the same. The storyline is quite imaginative, though it doesn't impinge much on the actual play. The box suggests 7+ as the start age for players, and the game characters are 17, 17, 15 and 13. However, I am considerably older than teenage and I enjoyed it quite a lot. I recommend it for people who like quite a laid back style of game. If you are into rushing around in fast vehicles and/or bloody killing, this game is NOT for you!

good so far...4
bought this a few days ago as a update for my old lost in blue 2 game.
even just at the beggining it has a better story line than the old game, and with more promised i can't wait!!
The only trouble is that the touch screen movement controls feel a bit cluncky compared to LIB2 and I cant see anyway to see the number details of my partners status, only small guages which is a bit annoying since I can't see as clearly how well my partner is doing
Enjoying it thoroughly so far and hoping that the more complex story line will make up for the fact I've basically allready got a version of this game :)
