coffee tastes like TCP
Bought this item from Robert Dyas for £25.00 cofee tasted foul!!! TCP the plastic taints the coffee. Morphy Richards replaced the unit- SAME PROBLEM Morphy Richards replaced it again and guess what SAME!! 3 Coffee makers all make BAD coffee. tried everything to clean out the tainted taste, OUST ect,ect ran half a lake of water thgough the thing, NO LUCK. Problem is if you leave the water in overnight it picks up the plastic taint so it's no good for what it was intended for. BE WARNED!!
Disgusting plastic smell
Do not buy this coffee maker!
The coffee maker arrived a couple of days ago and we followed instructions to clean it and ran the water through it several times - the smell and taste was so awful it made me sick. We tried washing and soaking everything again, many times, but still cannot get rid of the horrible plastic smell/taste. We tried changing the brand of coffee and it made no difference. We tried using our old coffee maker and the coffee was fine.
A BIG NO NO NO NO. Please do not waste your money!
DON'T BUY THIS MACHINE
I thought this was OK - it seemed so in the beginning (so I wrote a review saying so) but in the last few days the coffee has tasted awful with a strange after-taste. It isn't the coffee itself - we tested that in another machine and it was fine, so can only assume that this machine is at fault. Please don't buy it - you will be disappointed
