Manufacturer's Description
The lightweight that doesn't lose suction.
Why Dyson is better - all other vacuum cleaners use bags or filters to capture and store the dirt they suck up. These clog, causing the cleaner to lose suction.
A Dyson is different - it uses Root Cyclone technology, so dirt is spun out of the airflow and straight into the bin. With no bags or filters to clog, a Dyson cleaner is the only cleaner that doesn't lose suction.
'Dyson is all about developing new and better technology, so that our vacuum cleaners give the highest performance, room after room. We are driven by continuous improvement and new ideas. Our new lightweight upright is one of them' James Dyson
No running costs - lifetime filters that never need replacing - just wash every 6 months

Customer Reviews
The best choice i've made in ages !!
I've been following the progress of the dyson over the years and although I was impressed with it's performance, as I know a few owners, it was always a little bulky for my liking. Up until a couple of years ago I owned a kirby and had upgraded it a couple of times, however this proved to be increasingly costly. Then about a month ago, I caught sight of this new slim-line dyson and the appeal was instant. It is a fraction of the cost of the famous kirby and the performance, for me was very impressive. My carpet looks a lot brighter, the house smells fresher and less prone to dust. Equally as important, it is much lighter than the kirby. This was money well spent.
Fab
No really, it is. I've just traded up from a Hoover bagless, and the difference is astonishing. It makes me wonder if I will have any carpet left in a few months, it picks so much up. Nice and light (by comparison with other Dysons anyway) and very easy to use. It takes a few goes to get the hang of "steering" the thing, as the ball makes it different to handle than traditional designs, but once you've got it, you won't go back to wheels. Empties easily, tools are great, long cord, top switch for brushbar a lovely idea and it's not even noisy. No compromises.
Dyson Slim All Floors
Very recently purchased the slim Dyson (to replace a larger Dyson that had stopped working). Very impressed with this cleaner. It is a lot slimmer and lighter than the previous Dyson and I feel it is easier to manoeuvre around the floors. It appears on the spec not to be as powerful as my old Dyson but I have not noticed that there is any less being picked up, in fact it is very impressive. I tend to use this machine a lot more often than the old one because of the ease of use. Also as it is for use on all floors I find that the push button at the top of the machine very useful and you can see straight away that the rollers are turned off for hard floors. This is the third Dyson I have owned and although the last two broke down I still buy this product because at the end of the day I think it does a better job than other cleaners.
