Casio G7700-1ER
I wanted a tough and reliable watch and was recommendd G shock by a friend. As it is for work I wanted something inexpensive but waterproof and me proof and this has proved an excellant buy so far. Believe it or not the dual time system is handy as we go abroad a few times a year to Greece and lazy or what, I do not have to alter the time which is handy for the numerous times I phone home and use the time comparison before ringing. Easy to use and a useful back light. One slight niggle is the American date format but it is only me being picky as I have to transfer to a different watch for best. I would recommend this watch even though I did not take a vast time over selecting it,Casio G-7700-1ER Mens G-SHOCK Resin Digital Watch balanced with price it is excellant value for money.

An excellent watch
Have had my G-7700 for a few months and have been really impressed with it. It has as many features as you could want in a 'non specialist' watch and has put up with some rough treatment while still looking just as it did when I took it out of the box for the first time. I have had other watches that have looked years old after a few months but not the G Shock which, if the past three months are anything to go by, is pretty indestructable.

Thoroughly recommended and a far better price than the High Street

New to Casio
I am fascinated by watches and have a large collection of modern and vintage wristwatches,as well as pocket watches.... I am not an action man any more, so buying this watch was not for practical reasons. I have never even remotely considered owning a Casio, being a bit of a watch snob I regret to say, but now I have bought this and am suddenly aware that a watch collection is incomplete without a watch of this type.. I am very impressed by how comfortable it is.. The build quality is excellent and I wear it now for everyday use.. The information this model gives is not as confusing as first appears, I do not ill treat watches, so this tough watch should outlast me.
