GL, or Glycaemic Loading, is the dieting sensation taking the nation by storm. Nigel Denby, the UK's No.1 authority on GL and author of 'The 7-Day GL Diet' brings you an exciting new cookbook with over 100 simple and delicious recipes. Every taste is catered for -- fish lovers, meat connoisseurs, vegetarian, sweet. Love your food AND lose weight! GL is the diet for people who want permanent results fast without going hungry. It's simpler than GI -- and more effective, too. This is because it doesn't just look at the GI (Glycaemic Index) of a food: it also takes into account the amount of it we eat. This means that many high GI banned foods are back on the menu -- yes, even chocolate! In this exciting new cookbook Nigel Denby, author of 'The 7-Day GL Diet', shows you how easy it is to cook healthy and delicious meals in minutes. It's packed with over 100 tasty recipes and full of handy tips to keep you on track. Love your food with the GL Diet Cookbook -- and watch the pounds melt away.

Can't recommend this highly enough
If you want to eat the healthiest diet possible based on the latest research and advice and eat great food thrown together in minutes you will love this book. I have 26 cook books bought over the years (many collecting dust!) and the recipes in here turn out and taste divine and that is before you take into account that the book and recipes will help you loose weight! Diet cook books don't get any better than this. The authors Nigel, Tina and Deborah also run a health and diet advice webiste www.dietfreedom.co.uk and since joining two months ago I have lost 1 stone 3 pounds, it has made a huge difference to my moods and my confidence, my PCOS and PMS symptoms have all but disappeared and I feel so much more balanced, better than I have in years. It has given me a new lease of life at 43 and I am eternally grateful! Thank you.
The book I have been waiting for!
I have bought the previous 2 books and found them very useful, I have lost alot of weight and I feel great about myself.
I have now bought the cookbook and find the variety of recipes amazing, the areas I have found useful have been the 'fast and friendly recipes' and the section called 'food the loves you back' (what a lovely thought) both full of tasty and EASY recipes which is what I was looking for.
Following the GL diet as presented to me via the three books and of course the diet freedom web site (which is a god send)I am beginning to understand that I can enjoy food and still remain healthy and happy.
brilliant!
I couldn't DISagree with the previous reviewer more. She has picked out a couple of really simple recipes - the book runs the gamut from really simple suggestions for quick snacks thru really quick recipes, to slighly longer ones, and 'foodie freindly' ones which take a little more time and preparation. there's a whole load of detail on oils and fats - what's good and bad which really cleared up some questions I have, good suggestions on using spices and herbs in place of salt and other stuff which was quite inspiring and really got me back into the creative spirit. Also it addresses the messy area of sweeteners - from sugar to artificial sweeteners and net carbs. Interesting info on flours and other grainy 'grey areas' for the whole carb / GL thing. In all it is every bit as good as the other books this team have given us. The whole dietfreedom.co.uk thing (they have an online memebrs club) has made a big differnce to me, I am a fan, and have lost just over 5 stone so far. thanks xx Claire
