Customer Reviews

You'll love it as much as your baby will5
My 6 week old beamed the first time I showed her the puppy on the front cover, so I knew straight away this was a good buy. The black and white baby animals on each page hold a young baby's attention, especially those who are looking directly at the reader (a couple don't and my baby is not so interested in those) and it's lovely to see a such a small child staring intently at the pictures.

Babies can see high contrast (such as black and white) images best and enjoy looking at faces, so this book is perfect. I chose this book over one that contains human faces as these pictures are much cuter and have more difference between each image. As others have stated, the final image (of a baby looking at the same pictures that are in this book on her own cot mobile) is a clever, thoughtful twist that brings in narrative possibilities. Highly recommended - you'll love looking at it as much as your baby does and that is so important when encouraging a child to love reading.

My baby loves this book5
My 3 month old baby loves this book.... in fact he'd stare at it even when he was very very small and has been fascinated with the black and white patterns. Black and white images are supposed to help with their brain development and it's a reasonably priced little book and well worth the purchase.

Excellent buy5
This is the best £4 I ever spent. My baby daughter has enjoyed staring at this book since she was about six weeks old. She lies looking at it for about 20 to 30 mins in one go (a long time for a small baby!) and she often 'talks' to the animals. Her favourite pictures are the dalmatian puppy and the cat.
