A stone circle spells danger for Sarah Jane Smith and friends, in a thrilling new adventure read by Elisabeth Sladen. Sarah Jane is helping out on a school trip with Luke, Maria and Clyde's class. On the way home, the group stop off at The Stone Whisperers, a dozen standing stones enclosed by a dome. Set apart from the circle is a thirteenth stone: the King Stone. Legend has it that this is an evil king who was captured in battle by twelve knights, and turned to stone. To keep him imprisoned, the knights too turned to stone, holding him forever in their power. Nice story, but it's just a myth - isn't it? Luke finds himself strangely drawn to the King Stone. Over two metres high, and covered in moss, it glows with a strange, unearthly light. But when the secret of the stones is finally revealed, the school party's enthusiasm turns to terror...Elisabeth Sladen, who stars as Sarah Jane in the CBBC TV series, reads this exclusive audio story which has been written by bestelling author Justin Richards. The cover photograph shows Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane with Yasmin Paige as Maria, Thomas Knight as Luke, and Daniel Anthony as Clyde.

knights past
another audio adventure based on the tv series sarah jane adventures, featuring the former doctor who companion and her friends battling aliens and monsters. this, like other cd the glittering storm, is an all new story written especially for audio, and read by elisabeth sladen. sarah jane herself. who does good vocal impressions of all the other characters.
It's one long seventy minute long narrative, with no breaks in the middle, although the cd is obviously divided into tracks.
story wise, this involves sarah helping out on a school trip that her three friends are on. they visit a museum by an ancient stone circle. and it would appear that the legends about the place are about to start coming true...
I didn't think this was quite as good story wise as the glittering storm. after a fast paced first few minutes it takes a long time setting things up and establishing that something bad is going to happen, and then once it does it becomes one long chase sequence, before things are finally resolved. It does give elisabeth sladen some very good material in regards to sarah's newly found maternal instincts, and there's a great line about her house that begs to be followed up, so it does have it's moments.
A good cd and I've given it four rather than three as I'm sure those who are younger than me who love the show will love this. I just slightly preferred the glittering storm
