"Torchwood" is an action-packed, adrenaline-fuelled sci-fi series following the adventures of a team of investigators, working for the secret organisation Torchwood, who use scavenged alien technology to solve present day crime - both alien and human. The team, led by the enigmatic, ever-watchful Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman, reprising his Doctor Who role in this spin-off from the legendary series), are separate from the government, outside the police and beyond the United Nations. This full-color companion to the show contains behind the scenes secrets, cast and crew interviews and some exclusive new "Torchwood" short stories!

A Treat for Torchwood Fans!
The Torchwood Official Magazine Yearbook is the ultimate guide to the second season of the BBC's hit series, Torchwood. One of two immensely successful Doctor Who spin-offs, Torchwood really came into its own during its second season.
Included in the book are brief character biographies of each team member, a Season 2 episode guide, interviews with John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) and James Marsters (Captain John Hart), a set report from the filming of the episode "Something Borrowed", a tour of the Hub set, and five original short stories by Steven Savile, David Llewellyn, Andy Lane, Trevor Baxendale and Joseph Lidster. The short stories alone are worth the price of the book, but there are many other great features.
The yearbook is filled with full-color photos and behind-the-scenes information. If you've read the Torchwood Magazine, much of the content of the yearbook will be familiar to you. But if you've missed a few issues or simply want to have the best features in this wonderful hardcover format, the Torchwood Official Magazine Yearbook is truly a treat for any Torchwood fan!
Torchwoos: The official MagazineYearbook
I was disappointed with this book overall. I love Torchwood and have all the DVD's, books, Audio books and the previous magazines 1-13. But this compilation has just selected some of articles from the magazines and reprinted them in this book (especially the series 2 episode guide).
The only new articles are the short stories which I did however find to be excellent. I would have still bought this book if only for the short stories alone. Next time can we have material that has not been repeated, or is that the purpose of a yearbook?
