Product Description

Aimed at 10-16 year olds, this story is brilliantly written from the perspective of Alice Taylor - a moody teenager who speaks her mind. Alice is furious when her parents have to leave her with her prissy Aunt Margaret and spoiled cousin Rebecca, whilst they go off on a business trip.
but things go from bad to weird... a menacing crow starts lurking around the house... the Taylor's plane goes missing... and a decidedly witch-like character pops up in the middle of suburbia, promising to find Alice's parents in return for her cherished chensi necklace.
Alice sets of on a rollicking adventure where she meets an eclectic and often hilarious cast of supernatural characters who could give even witches a bad name...

Customer Reviews

The Witches of Babizar5
An excellent book for children of all ages. (10 - 110 years) I think it is an equal to J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter Series. My 12 year old granddaughter, Victoria, said, "IT'S EVEN BETTER."

A first class and riveting mystery5
A rip roaring adventure from almost the first page, full of all sorts of strange characters such as witches, an ominous black crow, a strict aunt, Rebecca, a jealous cousin and a flying cottage. At the centre of this intriging tale is a girl called Alice with a much sought after Chensi necklace who is trying to trace her parents who were passengers in a plane that has disappeared. This book fairly bounces along and is a must for children and adults alike. Brilliant.
