Average customer review:Product Description
Blake is a loveable mongrel just trying to lead a happy life; he loves his owner, fiercely defends his territory against interlopers (including the owner's new lady friend and her cat), does his best to avoid the frequently threatened neutering and spends a lot of his time either scooting across the carpet or chasing local tail. It really is a dog's life, and Blake has kindly taken the time to keep a diary of a year in his own life - providing a hilarious, unputdownable glimpse into the mind and world of your average mutt. This is the very successful diary of Blake the mongrel, now in paperback! It provides what every dog-lover needs for a summer read! It features fantastic quirky illustrations throughout. It is a unique addition to the always-popular diary genre.

"How Blake leaps all hurdles to become Top Dog will have you laughing all the way to the dog's home."
About the Author
Martin Howard worked in the publishing industry for nearly a decade, and during that time wrote about a dozen books under different names on such diverse subjects as treehouses, historic European cartography, New York's ghosts and poisonous plants that talk to people. He lives in the south of France with his wife, three children, two cats and the inspiration for this book, a half labrador-half husky called Satch.
Customer Reviews
Wonderful, humorous book
This little delight was something I perused in the book store and bought as a gift for a relative. I ended up reading it myself and buying eight more to give as Christmas gifts. It's charming and hysterically funny. I laughed so hard in bed reading it that I'd wake my husband. It's a gem!
A Great Book for Belly Laughs.
An extremely funny book, I actually cried laughing in some parts. I wasn't expecting to enjoy this as I am not really a big fan of dogs, but nevertheless it was very entertaining, filled with moments of humour, romance (well, doggy style romance - ha ha) and pathos. Would definately recommend it to anyone.
I laughed out loud
Couldn't put it down and embarrassed my wife by laughing out loud when reading it in public places.
I'm not a dog lover but I would love to take Blake down the pub but not to the resturant.
Brilliant.
