A must for anyone who wants to have a happy well trained pup.
Great book for anyone with a new pup. It's has everything in it starting with the very 1st day you bring your pup home. All the normal parts such as housetraining, walking with a lead, sit, stay, down, etc but loads more really helpful tips that we found invaluable. Bad habits and prevention is an excellent chapter. The book also covers dog shows, preparing your dog, obediance trials etc. but that is only one chapter so don't be put off if you intend to have your pup as a pet and not a show dog. Andrew De Prisco says a "trained puppy is a happy puppy" and this book is definately the best I have found in helping you achieve this. we looked at lots of books before finding this one. Then ended up with another one in a present!!
Not that helpful
I have other puppy training books which I found much more informative. However, if pictures are to be admired, this book had some delightful pictures of various breeds of puppies which amused my children. But honestly, reading this book alone would not give me the information I think I need to train my puppy effectively.
