Great for preparing for a new baby!
I got this 3mths before my 2nd baby was due and it was great for preparing big sister (2 1/2)for the new arrival. Easy to read, with plenty of opportunity to ask/answer questions- I'd highly recommend it. Just long enough for a bedtime story, and just right for settling her down for the night. Other, more 'educational' books probably are better for introducing the idea of a new baby, but this was ideal for her age group- it introduced the idea of a sibling who was no 'threat', and brought celebration to the home.
Mind you- anything 'Dora' related always goes down well in our house, and it added to her collection of other Dora books.

Lazy work
Like all the books in the series this is a partial transcription of a TV episode. In this case minimal effort has been made in making the transition, hence there are only three pages where the reader is invited to help Dora and become involved in the story, which is the strength of the Dora / Diego franchise. The remainder is very passive and not very interesting. There are better Dora books and better books to get a toddler familiarised with a new baby's arrival.
