Great fun!
Dora fans will have a fun time helping her and Boots find the treasure! Use the stickers to help her build a bridge, find keys, etc. The sticker are reuseable-- which mean you can play again later, or if you have two kids like I do, no one has to miss out on the fun! I only wish the book had more pages.
fun problem solving for little ones!
This lovely book has little Dora trying to return her books to the library. This is no small feat when she has to overcome the Grumpy Old Troll, the rain, the Icky-Sticky Sand, Turtle River, Swiper and the library door!
Whilst she can't manage it on her own, she can with the help of her backpack and your child!
The simple text is ideal for pre-schoolers and it invites them to join in by calling "Map", shouting "Swiper, no swiping", saying "abre" to open the door and counting all 8 library books that have been given to the Octopus librarian.
However, the best bit is helping Dora overcome the obstacles by choosing the right item from Dora's Backpack each time. So my daughter had to choose which of the rope, umbrella, plaster, life jacket or scissors would help her cut the rope, keep Dora dry and pull Boots out of the Icky-Sticky Sand.
This problem solving is pitched just right for my 3 year old and makes a wonderful change to all the other story books she reads.
I'm certainly going to be investing in more of my hard-earned cash into these fun puzzle books, even if the paper is a little bit thin!
This book is based on one of the TV episodes, with a few changes (eg crossing the river instead of climbing the big rock).
Please note that this book doesn't have any stickers (as stated by another reviewer) - the (re-useable) sticker books are "Dora's Treasure Hunt" and "Dora Saves the Prince".
Dora makes Learning Fun
I bought this book for my daughter who is a big Dora fan she loves it! Colours and pictures are fantastic and even a word of Spanish , for only a few pounds well worth a childs development.
