Synopsis
With her cheerful nature, inquiring mind, and colourful fashion sense, Nickelodeon's adorable bilingual heroine 'Dora The Explorer' has charmed both pre-school-age children and their parents alike. Designed to simulate a computer game, the animated series follows the cute little Latina girl, her monkey pal Boots, and their anthropomorphic cohorts Map and Backpack as they set out on problem-solving adventures that encourage interaction and physical activity while teaching simple concepts such as counting, logic skills, and basic Spanish. This volume includes two fun-filled, educational episodes: in 'Star Catcher,' Dora and Boots track down a special friend after he's kidnapped by the dastardly Swiper; and in 'Star Mountain,' the winsome duo hunt for Dora's missing necklace.

absolutely fantastic! My 2.5 yr old daughter won't stop watching it. It teaches spanish to children in a natural way, as well as dealing with maths and shapes. It encourages children to join in with her adventures through interactive play on screen. Brilliant! The only bad point (which is minor)is that American slang (ie broad walk etc.) is used instead of the correct queens english version.That can be annoying at times, because we have to translate and correct dora at times.

Very educational like the rest of the dvd's
My daughter just loves dora & after watching this, she just jumps & claps in the air as if to really catch the stars!!
