Disappointed camper
Extremely disappointed by this book. It calls itself "the most in-depth campsite guide", but to my understanding a campsite is a place to go camping.

Despite all the pre-amble making out that camping & caravanning are treated equally, this guide is all about caravanning - the listings tell you little to nothing about provisions for genuine campers. There are no "tent only" sites listed, there are no prices for tent pitches or pitch sizes. In fact by far the most common mention of tents is "tents not accepted at this site".

Will be going back to looking up campsites on the internet.

Could be better..
Sites from this guide are always of a good to high standard. However, the actual guide is spoilt by a very poor and annoying indexing system. Items are not provided in numerical sequence but some mysterious "Alan Rogers" order. They need to learn from modern geographical based systems and make the map references easier to find... Why bother with a reference on a map that you have to look up in an index to find the page? Just print the page number and a site index.
