Inspirational!5
This book is not your usual biography on the sporting legend, Eric Liddell. It is a perfect blend of the physical and spiritual journey made by the man, from his athletics career to his missionary work in China. The author speaks with authority on the subject matter, having been involved in sport and christian work. Eric Liddell's energy and zeal leaps at you from the pages with boundless effort and you almost feel like you are drawn into the races that took place. This book will keep interest in Eric Liddell alive for many years to come.

Warning - once you pick up this book you will not be able to put it down!

An excellent book. A sporting biography that rightly places Eric Liddell's sporting life in the religious context in which it was lived. If you want to know about what happened before and after, as well as during the period covered by 'Chariots of Fire' then you will not be dissapointed. I think the last part of the story would make an even better movie.
