The Karcher SC 1002 cleans completely without chemicals. The steam is coming out through the steam gun in dosed amounts.

The SC 1002 can be used everywhere in the home: on hard surfaces, shower cubicles, on window surfaces, fittings and tiles. Even plain furniture surfaces are no problem for the SC 1002.

The water tank with a capacity of 0.8 l is heated with a heating power of 1300 W. It enables the SC 1002 to clean the whole household with very few interruptions.

With 2.5 bar presssure the SC 1002 has a high steam discharge rate. Limescale, greasy deposits and other stubborn stains can be removed effectively in an environment friendly way. The SC 1002 is the only steam cleaner of his class which can be carried. The safety cap can not be opened while there is pressure in the boiler - patented Kärcher security system.

Excellent gadget - will save an absolute fortune!!
We originally had one of the cheap DIY store type of steam cleaners, but this is in a different league. I have never purchased anything from Karcher - it was the Amazon special offer that was the temptation. The electric flex is a very good length as is the hose - enabling me to reach high and low. I have today tested it cleaning the microwave (I didnt realise it was so dirty - even though I do it weekly!), the inside and outside of the cooker (likewise!!) the butchers block in the kitchen and several of our window sills. It also easily got rid of the dog dribble and snot that had managed to get smeared all over the patio doors. The 'trigger' gun means you can aim and squirt (is that the word??) the steam whenever you need it - as oppose to having it running continously in the way that some of the cheap ones do. Of course if you want it running all the time, it is just a case of a finger on the trigger. It come with a little brush for cleaning grills and fiddly things, a window wiper squeegy thingy and various other attachments

On the plus side - it is very portable, will save an absolute fortune on cleaning chemicals and feels as if it is built to last.

On the minus side - well I scratched my head to try and think of something negative to say, but I really can't. I just wish I had bought this years ago.

On a final note, I have found that if you keep any old hand towels, you will probably never have to buy anything for cleaning again. Have the trigger gun in one hand (it operates with one hand very easily) and the towel in the other and it really is just a case of squrt and wipe!

This is a great machine, wish i'd had one years ago, my shower tiles are back to sparkly new!!!!chemical cleaner would not shift the grime!!!so pleased i am driving my son and husband round the bend as i keep going on about it!
If you are thinking about a steam cleaner this one comes highly recommeded

i'm glad i went ahead and got it...
i just got mine delivered today. really solid German engineering (the safety cap is a joy, heavy and well made) and yet very easy to handle. i bought it to clean up after two cats and their deplorable ways with mice (dried entrails on rush matting). it works well, and it really feels as if it's sterilising the surface as well as lifting out the gunk. have an old cloth handy for rubbing with. the only warning i would give is - don't wear a rubber glove on the hand holding the steam gun; i did, and the cuff caught in the trigger and jammed it on. fortunately i didn't panic, and was able to disentangle myself. anyway, the gun doesn't get hot enough to need hand protection. also be careful not to get so blase about it that you turn the gun upwards whilst you're rubbing away with a cloth; steam scalds! it doesn't necessarily lift long term carpet stains, although it probably sterilises them (!) but it's very good for dirty paintwork, and great for old food spills. i would conclude that this is a good, efficient tool for house cleaning, but must be treated with respect. i'm delighted to find that it way outperforms a cheap DIY steam cleaner i bought some years ago (and gave away).
