Great Budget Fun3
I've used many projectors over the years, and althought this one doesnt offer the crystal clear video quality of the expensive units, its a fun novelty item.
I've used this unit on 2 surfaces and I shall detail the quality for you:

1 - Standard Projector Screen at 10 feet from projector = The image isn't brilliant but if you want cinema style viewing this is a damn good set-up. contrast, colour & brightness along with focus took a while to set to my high-standard but it was a good, fun way to watch movies (but alot of newer movies with colour-hue effects suffer, but my massive collection of classic movies looks great on it.

2 - Smooth cotton screen at 4 feet from projector = the quality is much improved at this closer range, but there is still a lower quality that of higher priced units, movies run nicer and with alot higher quality (the highest optimum size being 40"). This is the surface I play games on and its great fun even if the quality does lack somewhat compared to other projectors I've used.

In summary I'll say only this - This is a fun novelty unit and that is all it is. A great budget bacholur-pad-boys-toy for those who don't care about the quality. If your looking for quality and value, your price tag is at least an extra £600 + a good computer.

Very disappointing - I returned mine1
I would not use this to watch DVDs.

1. S-Video socket did not work,

2. Three or four dead pixels, and

3. Large dust particles inside the lens,

For these three issues, I would merely have asked for a replacement.

4. Cut out on light/dark transitions: The Matrix Dojo scene blanked for 20-30 seconds, and

5. The 'on' switch needed pressing four or five times before it took.

These two indicated design flaws, so I asked for a refund (which was professionally handled, prompt, and full less postage).

Other observations:

6. A TV is 800x600 pixels. This unit is 480x234, but every third pixel is red or green or blue, so the effective resolution is a VERY grainy 160x234 (MODE 2 on a BBC micro). At 42" diagonal, each pixel is 1/16" wide.

7. The fan is loud, like a hairdryer, and

8. Maximum 'on' time is 8 hours continuous.

"It is not a professional unit - please don't expect its quality is as good as the high-end projector."

About 8% as good for 50% the cost. Save your money.

What a great buy!5
This is one of the best deals you can find anywhare on the internet, the quality of both the picture and sound is better that similar products which cost over twice as much! While this is described as a game projecter I was supprised to descover that it will work with anything that has an AV cable or an S-Video cable, and I often use mine with my Laptop and DVD player. The universal cable is a great idea; it really makes it easy to connect any appliance, and change them over quickly. All in all, if your looking for a great projector with which you can use your laptop, watch a film or play a game, but don't want to shell out over £500 then this is the product for you.
