Excellent and Compatible with Canon 5D
Really chuffed with this purchase. I didnt know whether it was compatible with the Canon 5D because neither Apple or Canon could tell me. But for 5D owners, it is and its a godsend in the field for backing up. Jpegs show on the ipod as pics but RAW's just show as files. So if you want to look at RAW's, its just not possible. You will however know that they have transferred from your camera to your ipod and they can be downloaded to your PC later. The download from Camera to IPod does take a long time and you need to have plenty of battery power in both. £21 does seem a lot of money for a very small piece of plastic but the functionality is great for backup.

Nifty
A very useful bit of kit. A cost-effective alternative to buying new memory cards.
The connector initates an automatic transfer of everything (including video) in the digital camera memory and transfers it, unaltered, onto the iPod hard drive.
The only downside is that a large data transfer will rapidly drain the iPod battery.

Superb
This accessory allows you to transfer photos from a digital camera (or some card readers) while you are away travelling. Either use it to backup the photos on your storage cards to reduce the risk of losing photos before you return from holiday, or use it to store your photos to save having to buy as many storage cards. Either way, its an extremely useful accessory to have.

It is compact, it does't require batteries, and it's a bargain price (especially compared to previous third party products).

The only downside is that you need an iPod with a colour screen to use it. But think about it - wouldn't you rather upgrade to one of those beautiful colour screens anyway?
