Manufacturer's Description
Sony has long been striving to combat the age-old problem of blurry photos∧ here it is&the new 7.2 megapixel Cybershot DSC-T30. Now you can preserve your memories to crystal clear perfection and impressive definition, ensuring that no milestone moment in your life, goes un-documented! This T-series camera has been engineered with intelligent, automatic features so that you can spend more time having fun and less time fumbling with technology.
Equipped with double anti-blur protection, the DSC-T30 model's Super Steady Shot optical image stabilization and high-sensitivity mode features, aim to diminish the possibilities of fuzzy pictures, the first time round, especially in low-light conditions.
The Super Steady Shot technology minimizes blur caused by shaky hands, while the camera's high-light-sensitivity (ISO 1000) mode reduces blur resulting from shooting at faster shutter speeds. There's even added defense with Sony's Clear RAW noise reduction system, which kicks in to counter picture noise associated with high-sensitivity shooting.
These technologies make the camera ideal for shooting in low-light conditions, such as restaurants, bars, and clubs. Combined with its stylish finish and svelte dimensions, the DSC-T30 camera is the perfect accessory for even the most discerning fashionista.
Armed with features for optimal shooting and sharing, the new camera with its Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lens combines power, portability, and distinctive playback. Its slide show with music function is ideal for viewing on the camera's three-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus screen.
This is Sony's first T-series model to feature selectable color modes. Choose natural mode for subtle color variations or vivid mode for more intense colors, depending on how you want to preserve your memory.
Sony's ultra-fast Real Imaging Processor circuitry increases the camera's efficiency for quicker start-up, faster shot-to-shot times, higher-quality movie capture, and longer battery life. Its supplied InfoLithium battery provides plenty of power for up to 420 shots per full charge. That's nearly double the performance of previous T-series models.
The camera has 58 MB of internal memory, so if you forget to bring along your memory card, there is a back-up! Its capacity can be expanded up to two gigabytes with an optional Memory Stick Duo media card.

how things should be
why cant everything be this easy?
This is the Ipod of cameras. Its sexy and stylish and takes brilliant shots. Its well designed and easy to use and fits in your pocket. Its a dream to use. Its no bigger than a deck of cards but nothing is awkard or fussy and the battery lasts forever. I love good design and this is good design. Go on, give in and buy one.
SONY DOES IT AGAIN - YES!
I previously have the T9 and today the T30 arrived from Amazon.
I must say the T30 is just as wonderful as the T9 but ofcourse with some improved features and has a wowingly 7.2 MEGA PIXELS + a very stylish 3" LCD display.
For any casual user this camera is the perfect choice, slim and slick, you can't go wrong!
The only down-side for me has been the fact that I was gifted the T9 back in March of this year when it was newly released and within a couple of months later Sony launched the T30, a bit unfair really for the buyers of the T9.

Had the T30 for 3 months now with no problems, I had a T11 before and was put off by the description of this camera as being credit card size. Well the 3 inch screen is credit card size but the camera is definitely not or some people have credit cards I have never seen. Big plus point is the larger battery as that is always the first thing to go on a digital camera when being used. Have space on the memory but battery flat. Excellent camera good balance between size (to small how do operate the buttons) and portability. As for getting a black case well looks cool but the case is bound to get scratched eventually, silver will not show the scratchs as bad. Also recommend covering the screen with a plasic film to stop it being scratched.
