Product Description

Blodin the Beast stalks the land, breathing fire and razing villages to ruins. Who or what can end this tyranny? Only wise old Shanga, weaving his strange carpet, knows how to destroy the monster - but he is too old to cross the mountains that never end… Michael Morpurgo's timeless story of a young boy's quest to save his people, illustrated with Christina Balit's glowing mosaic-like paintings, will entrance children of every age.

A fabulous read for the under tens.5
This is a superbly illustrated, exciting children's story from Morpurgo which captures the attention of young readers. The fast moving narrative with graphic descriptions of both characters and action is bound to be a hit with all. I discovered this book whilst working in a junior school, and the constant demand for this story to be read time after time should give any adult ample confidence that this is a great book, and a fabulous read for the under tens.
