one of the madest funniest films ever5
I first saw this film on sale in a big high street record shop when out buying DVDs in the sales. This one wasn't on sale - but when I saw it first I was about to go up to the manager and complain about them selling such, what I thought at time, homophobic DVDs. I read the back and it intrigued me. I did not buy it then but went home and it was on my mind so I went back and bought it. It is one of the madest and funniest films I have ever seen. As a gay man I did not find it offensive at all -there is a lot of in gay humour in it. I have lent it to many gay friends here to watch -and they come from the whole spectrum of gay life - and they all enjoyed it and not one of them found it offensive at all - in fact many of them have gone and bought a copy for themselves!

To get a lot of the humour I suppose you'd have to have a good knowledge of the "gay world" -but even if not gay do not be offended by proxy for us - jut watch it and enjoy it.

How they came up with such a mad story line I just do not know. It is totally unique and should be counted amongst the gay underground classics!!

9 Dead Gay Guys - one by one!4
This, it turns out, was written by an Irish Chinese man (as well as that, he directed it) - and the oddball but cleverly put-together black comedy that results is just what you might expect. It involves 2 Irish guys, out-of-work and in London, who turn out to 'service' gay men to supplement their Giros... not that they're gay, of course - it's just a paying job, you know...

But from the revelation that "the Queen is dead" (no, of course not what you think!), the body count just goes on piling up, in some very funny situations that play around with stereotyping, political correctness, and a lot of generally entertaining film-style comedy.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, it was a lot better than I'd expected from the reviews I'd seen.

Offensive and unwatchable.1
This is one of the very worst films I have ever (ever!) seen.

It starts off promisingly - a couple of rather cute young Irish guys, short of money, resort to providing sexual favours to the older men at the local gay pub to supplement their giros. But it very quickly loses all direction and descends into limp farce that tries too hard to be hip and politically incorrect. Tedious dialogue, offensive and unfunny stereotypes , and a plot that is simultaneously flimsy and incomprehensible... I was actually embarrassed by this film, and the end could not come soon enough. The only remotely good thing about it is Michael Praed, who gives a pretty decent performance as a flamboyant queen - everyone else involved should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

Don't even think about purchasing or renting this film.
