Flawed design
I bought this as a replacement to a Krups 888 that had done 5 years of excellent service but expired, probably due to being used a minimum of 3 times a day, every day, for those 5 years.

I would have bought another Krups, but they don't sell a single pot filter coffee maker with timer anymore.

This unit is ok, but it has a very annoying design flaw. After it's finished brewing, and the coffee is drunk, when you go to fill it up again there's so much condensation on the underneath of the lid it floods the worktop when you open the lid. There's little drip catcher at the back, but it's nowhere near enough.

The dual temp heating plate feature is also a bit wierd, as leaving it on full for ANY amount of time, whether the pot is full or half empty, causes the coffe to stew and taste awful.

Other than that, it'll do as a stop gap until Krups release a comparable unit to fill the gaping hole in their product line!
