Baking soda is THE BEST!
Yes, the reviewer is absolutely right, I had a great time putting this book together. It also caused me to put baking soda to work for me in dozens of new ways. (And actually, at parties, it has been a fabulous topic of conversation—who would have thought!) I've loved writing for FAMILY CIRCLE and getting this education in what I call "grown-up" tips instead of just writing my "parenting" tips. Someone asked if I considered my self a "domestic goddess". I'm pondering that title. I'm working on a book of other uses for BAGS and am considering calling myself The Bag Lady. So my self image is in flux. Thank you for your interest. This is really a great book. It has sold over 200,000 copies!

This book supplies many simple and effective uses for cleaning around the house with Bicarb of Soda. I have started to make my own washing powder with bicarb (it does work!), use bicarb for scouring sinks and toilets, very good added to your toothpaste to keep your mouth and teeth healthy and clean. I really enjoy following the ideas in the book. All recipies and ideas are easy to make and use, the ideas practical and inexpensive and there is a good index to find keywords quickly. I would recommend this book to anybody who wants to be greener and use less aggressive methods around the house. Useful for everybody - from student to busy parent to environmentally conscious pensioner. Buy it!
