Mac OS X Leopard
This book is excellent value for money at less than £10 (+p.&p.) for 953 pages. I have been using Leopard for more than four months, since 26th October, and have kept in regular touch with the advice on the Apple Discussions pages. Even so, on nearly every page, I have found something I did not know.
Possibly The Best Value For Mac Beginners
It is hard to imagine any contenders for the title of 'indispensable,' which is usually reserved for David Pogue's Mac OS X Leopard: The Missing Manual which should definitely be your second or simultaneous choice, but this book comes close to being so for those migrating from Windows or Linux to Mac. Easy to comprehend, written in a simple but never boring or patronising way, never 'geeky' The Leopard Bible takes you through everything you need to know about Macs, preparing and inspiring you to want to go further into using all that Mac has to offer; and David Pogue will take you there. As the publishers have made this books chapters and introduction available to Amazon you can see for yourself what you are getting and make the decision whether to buy or not. But, for beginners, this is a primary source for learning how to use Mac quickly and efficiently.
Mac OS X Leopard Bible
Very useful guide to anyone like myself who is new to MACS. There plenty of hints and tips for the average user but also the book goes into enough detail for the advanced user as well. Well worth investing in in order to discover many of the added features that the MAC has that are hidden away.
