Manufacturer's Description
You play doctor in the high-pressure job of surgeon. The stylus is your scalpel, but it's your quick thinking that will save lives. At first it's just another day in the O.R., but when a mysterious outbreak sweeps the area, the patients' lives are in your hands -- no pressure. Keep a cool head, or you'll be out on the street. You play as Derek Stiles, a doctor who has just completed his residency and joined the surgical team at Hope Hospital, where routine cases are about to become something far more serious. The touch screen is your canvas, and you'll use a variety of medical tools and techniques to make incisions, heal wounds and remove tumours. Because of the urgency of most procedures, you're on the clock. Perform the procedure before time runs out or your patient is doomed. Trauma Center: Under the Knife is a little more forgiving than the real thing so now is your chance to play virtual doctor!

Customer Reviews

Great idea for a game but too darn hard!3
I snapped this game up as soon as it was released as i thought the concept was ace! use my stylus to cut people open and perform operations!! how cool!. Sadly it was just too hard!! i did the first couple of 'levels' and got into it and then they just became stupid hard! for that reason it was traded in quick smart. So hence i have marked the fun level down because it wasnt fun after a while it was just frustrating!. Shame as the story line seemed ok and its a great idea for a different sort of game. I think kids would really struggle with this one.

Hard, but good clean fun4
This game is really enjoyable and highly addictive. Despite the fact that I've been stuck on one of the later levels for ages now, I still keep trying just for the sheer fun of it. It is so rewarding to finally complete an operation you've been stuck on a while that I just seem to keep plodding away!

You do have to be quite accurate with the stylus at times, but this all adds to the fun of the game - I'd moan if it was dead simple!

Now I've worked out what to press to skip the annoying repetitive dialogue (it does play most of it again every time you retry a level), I'm much happier!

Disappointing2
I first saw this game online and thought i would really enjoy it. The first few operations are fun but then it starts to get a bit unbelievable and quite frankly, tedious!

Some of the operations are rather difficult as it is but you also have a silly nurse that keeps interrupting you.

If you're expecting a lifelike game with real illnesses then you'll be disappointed.
