a pick up anytime distraction5
This game is great. When i got it i didnt know if it would be a bit childish but it really isnt. Some of the things you have to do are really challenging and you find yourself playing again and again determined to beat a previous score. There are loads of different dishes to make and you get a rating of bronze silver or gold on each one. It has lots of playing value trying to get the best you can. I would definitely recommend this game if you like to just pick a game up and play it without having to get really involved.

A review worth reading- Cooking Mama3
To begin with:
The tiny, three line reviews ive read on here so far dont do this game justice. So i decided to wrote my own.
Price: It cost me #19.99 from Game. Even cheaper on amazon ;-)
...Anyway. I had seen the advert for this on tv, and wanted it straight away. As soon as i had bought my nintendo ds, i bought this game as well.
Some people are confused by the fact there are no 'levels' as such, like most games. You dont have a character, or choose a name. It is what it says on the box- a cooking game! You can choose to practice a skill first, which i reccomend. You can try frying, peeling, grating, an get ready for when you want to...
COOK! Choose from a long list of foods to cook. Then follow cooking mamas step by step instructions (each stage is timed, to add excitement, and frustration! :-)
In this game you only ever use this stylus/pen. The buttons are pretty much obselete. It is very satisfying, hands on game.
I would not reccomend younger children to play this game- there is some reading, and it can be very frustrating for people with short attention spans.
However, if you like the sound of it, you will probably like playing it too! 85% recomended!

cooking has never been so easy!5
I purchased the game after reading other reviews. Yes they were right, although a basic concept of cooking ( no super hereos or exploding mines and bloodshed ..)this is a great game for all ages and genders. This is the first time that my husband has managed to cook anything on time without burning it! My only downside of the game is the weird choice of recipes that I have never come across in the western world although all required concentration and accuracy. At least I didn't have to attempt to eat some of them!..........Find out for yourselves, and above all ENJOY
