Manufacturer's Description
Flips: Too Ghoul for School contains eight books chronicling the frankly disgusting antics at St Sebastian’s School in Grimesford, which sinks a bit deeper into the boggy plague-pit beneath it each year, causing the resident ghosts buried underneath to become progressively crankier. Spectral ringleader Edith Codd rallies the ghosts, who decide to get their own back by causing as much mischief as inhumanly possible, and getting the school closed down. But year-seven new boy James Simpson, along with his friends Alexander and Lenny, have other ideas. Boys aged seven and above will find the Too Ghoul for School range appeals irresistibly to their more unhygienic sensibilities.

In action, Flips: Too Ghoul for School closely follows the experience of reading a physical book: you have to hold the DS as if it was a book, with the touch-screen to the right, and you turn the pages in the normal manner, by flipping the touch-screen with the stylus or your finger. The text is very clear (obviously there are fewer words per page than in a paper book), but it is also studded with extra interactive elements, such as hyperlinks which pop up extra character information and sound effects, interactive gunk and goo which you have to wipe off the pages, countless yucky items to collect, such as leeches, rats, eyeballs, spiders, cockroaches and splats, quizzes at the end of each chapter testing your knowledge. And readers can share a sample chapter with their DS-owning mates.
