Customer Reviews
An enjoyable but short lived game.
Based on the film of the same name, the game is a first person adventure game in which you can play as either Kong or one of the human characters from the film. The graphics are pretty good but difficult to see in some lights whilst disappointingly, the majority of the speaking in the game is text and not sound. The gameplay is quite entertaining but relies often on your not knowing what comes next rather than skill. Once you know where the monsters are coming from at each stage the levels are pretty easy. Playing as Kong is particulally dissapointing, you have to go from A to B by swinging and climbing but there is no danger of dying or option to varying your route. You end up wondering if the game couldn't just take you to the next fight automatically instead of making you press the appropriate button to go down the pre-determined route. Kong can also get cornered on some levels by monsters meaning you can delfect attacks but not fight back or move. Very annyoing as you have to wait to die.
I enjoyed the game but found it rather easy to complete. Once you have completed, there is little incentive to go back for another go. It could have been better.
Poor
This is one of the worst games I have ever played for DS it is one of the most mind numming games ever designed. Terrible!
King Kong On DS Better For PS2!
Ok Basics, Game it'self very hard and well, levels aren't exciting as they look, you play as one person,...Jack very hard you have to get near a weapon and tap two times to use it! Really the controls are the following: A,B,X,Y and control pad they all move the character so it's hard to try another action! I'm still stuck on the third level, anyway when i loaded it up didn't like it...much! All in all it's ok if you want a challenge then this is the game for you! If i were you get the game for PS2 or Xbox!
