Buy this lens!
Absolutely fantastic lens for the price! I bought this to go with my Canon EOS 400D and it has immediately replaced the kit lens as my walk-around lens (I also have a canon 300mm lens too). The lens itself is very compact and is the same length as the kit lens when at 55mm.

The best point about this lens is that it produces razor-sharp images, the best you could get for the amazingly cheap price. Get it while it's this price! Not only this, it comes with a lens hood so you don't need to spend money on a hood too.

I'd recommend this lens to anyone on a budget - buy this lens, you won't be disappointed!

Fab lens for the money
I bought this lens last month after I recently took up digital photography. I was on a budget and needed a zoom lens. After reading numerous reviews I decided on this zoom lens. Tamron is a well known make and this lens is well built. It is lightweight and is supplied with a lens cover and hood. The lens also has a macro facility, which means its a must for close up shots that need to be in detail. I've took some detailed shots of flowers in my rear garden, and wow! what detail and quality. I was well impressed. If you are on a budget like me, and need a good quality lens, you can't go far wrong with this one.

Please note that this lens has no IS or USM, but for those facilities, you will have to pay in excess of £130. Remember I was on a limited budget and this lens had excellent reviews...............

Tamron 55 -200 f4.5-5.6 AF
I have recently bought this lens from Amazon and it is an absolute dream to use on my 400D. Little larger than the 18-55mm lens.
I duly took quite a few test shots and to say I was impressed is an understatement. I suppose I didn't expect the sharpness and excellent colour; or the absence of any noticeable flaws or abberations. For the price ( £70) this lens really delivers.Great buy!
