Customer Reviews

Heavyweight dub4
This is some seriously heavyweight dub. I Roy and Jazzbo battle it out with some classic rhythems. Worth buying if you are into dub.

essential!5
Wonderful stuff, which you may have read about - this 15 track set reissues material from the great King Tubbys and the spaghetti western cover sets the scene for a bunch of dee-jay confrontation, with I-Roy getting Prince Jazzbo right in his sights, though the latter does give back as good as he gets - and all are set to wonderful Tubbys dubs. Here we get the full story of this on-record 1974/5 feud for the first time. The opener `Do You Love Me?' is a Johnny Clarke classic, as beautifully sung as only this under-rated artist can. Derrick Morgan (a veteran of an earlier musical battle of course) also wades in, and there are tracks by The Aggrovators and The Revolutionaries. In other words, essential for lovers of the vintage reggae sound.
