Small and Light

Small and Light

Weighing just 30g, the stylish NWD-B100 Series MP3 slips effortlessly into a pocket or bag and is packed with clever technology that takes the stress out of managing your music files.

Easy to use ‘drag and drop’ transfers via direct USB

Easy to use ‘drag and drop’ transfers via direct USB

Easy-to-use auto transfer software built into the NWD-B100 makes it incredibly simple to load up this WALKMAN with your favourite digital tunes.

Attaching to your computer’s USB port (supports USB 2.0 high speed transfer) with no fiddly cables needed, the NWD-B100 will automatically search and copy across MP3 and WMA files in your PC’s ‘My Music’ folder (or your designated music folder).

The NWD-B100 also copes effortlessly if your PC’s hard drive contains too many tracks to fit onto your WALKMAN. The smart built-in software automatically transfers most recently added tracks from your PC, ensuring that WALKMAN is always up to date with your latest tunes. (Deleting older music files from NWDB100 may be required to make space available for new files transferred from PC).

For extra convenience, the WALKMAN will charge its battery through the USB port while connected to a PC.

    Pretty Good4
After reading the various reviews, I was a bit nervous about buying this player. However I'm happy with my purchase. There are good points and bad points to the player.

    Good:
    * Drag and drop - the first Sony player to support this
    * Sound quality - better than most, but perhaps not quite as good as previous Sonys
    * Battery life - 12 hours is good in my book (again not as good as my old Sony though)
    * FM Radio - good reception, no dropouts, very handy

    Bad:
    * Startup is just under 10 seconds - it seems to build a database of your songs when turned on. Surely no need?
    * Shuffle is crazy - seems to play the same few songs over and over. One song appears every third go. This is my big fault with the player. I now just play beginning to end.

Overall I'd buy it again. Good player, good price.

    Average Mp3 player from Sony2
I just purchased one of these yesterday. It does everything that it claims to. However, I am trying to return it.

I have been using an older model (NWE405L), which has been superb. The sound from my old player is much more superior to the NWDB105FB (new model). The new one does not have a full Bass sound. Also, it takes about 6-8 seconds for the unit to 'boot up' when you switch it on.

If you are happy with these two factors, I would recommend the unit. If you are looking for a good 'full' sound - look elsewhere.

    Good buy!5
Brought this Sony mp3 player due to you being able to drag and drop music files straight on to it. With all other Sony mp3s you need their software sonic stage intstalled on your pc about which I have read a lot of negative reviews. With this you just plug it straight into your pc and you away! No Mess'in!
