Bonnie Tyler

Bonnie Tyler (real name Gaynor Hopkins), born on June 8, 1951 in Skewen in Wales, United Kingdom is a pop/rock singer. She is widely recognisable by her highly distinctive, husky voice. Following the top ten success of her 1976 song "Lost in France", Tyler released her first album in 1977 entitled The World Starts Tonight. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" brought Tyler a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance (The song was a worldwide smash and reached no.1 in no less than 18 countries). In 1984, she performed the track at the Grammy Awards, and received another Grammy nomination as Best Rock Female Vocalist for "Here She Comes".
