Product Description

Dyson DC22 Baby Allergy Concentrated Technology

Concentrated Technology

2/3 the size of a full size cylinder vacuum, the Dyson DC22 Baby is small, but packs a powerful punch. It features everything you would expect from a Dyson machine and more.

The Dyson DC22 Baby Allergy has high efficiency airways, maximising airflow through the machine to minimize blockages and includes a mini flat out head which has a 25% lower profile for more thorough cleaning under furniture and appliances.

The Telescopic Wrap System allows the hose and wand to be compressed, and ensures that the Dyson DC22 Baby can be stored away neatly and compactly, with no loose components or wires to get tangled. It is constructed from ABS and polycarbonate which means that as well as being compact, the Dyson DC22 Baby is also lightweight.

Softer, floor friendly wheels wont damage delicate floors and a washable HEPA filter means that the air expelled from the Dyson contains up to 150 times less mould and bacteria than the air you breathe.

Dyson uses Root Cyclone Technology
A Dyson uses Root Cyclone technology to separate dirt from the air by centrifugal force. It doesn't rely on a filter that clogs, so suction remains constant, room after room after room.
The air Dyson expels has 150 times less pollen bacteria and mould spores
Dyson technology captures particles as small as pollen, bacteria and mould spores. That's why the air a Dyson expels has 150 times less pollen, bacteria and mould spores than the air you breathe.

    Great cleaning5
My DC22 is one of the best purchases I've made all year. It's very effective, not too noisy (contrary to other reviews here) and stows away very neatly.

The dust container really doesn't hold much, and needs emptying at least once per house-clean, but the build quality is excellent and emptying is mess-free.

I bought a turbine head separately, but in truth the flat head supplied is fine for most carpets.

Flimsy, not great at suction, poor for taller people2
Bought this and took it back after one day - the main problem is that I am 5'10" and I found that the hose wasn't long enough for me, even when fully extended. I was getting back ache in just a few minutes due to leaning over because of the short hose. My other half is 6'3" so had more of a problem. The other issues are that I felt it was flimsy, that it didn't pick up too well on a carpet (tho good on hard floors) and had a small capacity. We bought the Bosch BSG71266GB instead which is £50 cheaper and found it instantly better.

fairly lightweight, strong suction, nice to use5
This is the best vacuum cleaner I've used so far, and it's my first bagless and my first Dyson.

It's fairly lightweight for its size and bulk, and I like the way it packs quite neatly, and I like that it doesn't have a bag and that it does a good job of sucking the floor and carpets. I love the button that you press to release it off of carpets so the carpets don't stick to the sucker head - conveniently placed where the handle is so it's easy to use.

I also like the accessories that come with it by default - the crevice tool and the brush. I have skin allergies so I'm happy this thing has a HEPA filter which doesn't stink when it blows out air.

I don't mind the noise which I think is comparable to other vacuums I've used, and I don't mind the slightly smaller dust container. I do have to empty it out after 2 or 3 runs. I'm also fairly short so the wand is quite a good length for me, not too short or long.

The only thing they could've done better is that when it packs up, the head kind of sticks out so it doesn't look like as compact and neat. But this is totally superficial. I love this baby dyson.
