A FEW YEARS BACK I SPENT A BRIEF TIME AS A VACUUM CLEANER SALESMAN. THE CLEANERS I SOLD WERE MADE BY VORWERK AND WITHOUT A DOUBT ARE THE BEST ON THE MARKET. HOWEVER THEY RETAIL AT OVER £450 WHICH IS MORE THAN MOST WILL PAY FOR A 'HOOVER.'

THE SEBO, IN MY OPINION, IS THE BEST CLEANER UNDER £400 AND IS HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE IT'S COMPETITION. IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR THE JOB:- GOOD SUCTION, AUTO-ADJUSTING ROLLER HEIGHT, EASY TO USE TOOLS AND A FILTER THAT EXPELS CLEANER AIR THAN IT TAKES IN.

TO FINISH, I WOULD SAY THAT EVEN IF YOU DON'T BUY A SEBO THINK LONG AN HARD BEFORE YOU FALL FOR DYSON'S GIMMICKS.

The difference between the Sebo and a Dyson is like that between men and women.(or so my wife tells me!)
The Dyson is bigger, noisier and does the job quicker. The Sebo is smaller neater, quieter and though it may take a little longer to do the job it actually feels quicker because it is easier to use.
Also the Sebo we have, has been is use for 10 years now and I would be surprised if it didn't last another 10. We had 2 Dysons and both failed after around 5 years of use.

Great Machine!
I hate vacuuming. I had a Panasonic upright and didn't like it, bought a Henry, but it was poor at getting cat fur off the carpets and finally bought a Sebo. I wish I had done it sooner.

The first time I vacuumed the carpet with the X1.1 it looked like I was mowing a lawn - a could see a stripe where the machine had been. It picked up the fur without having to scrub. It lay completely flat to go under low furniture and automatically raised and lowered the brush depending on the surface. For the first time I could vacuum the entire downstairs from one wall plug. The cord is easy to wind up and unwind and there is a convenient carrying handle that centeres the weight and makes it easy to carry. It is quiet enough for me to listen to podcasts while I'm vacuuming.

I can't think of anything negative. Usually, because I'm lazy, I can find endless design faults with appliances. Not this time.
